Integrations
In recent years, the ECM market has gone trough a number of important strategic developments. Before 2007, ECM technology was not part of the offering of major platform vendors and was mainly supplied by specialized ECM vendors. The latter, however, were increasingly taken over by large ERP vendors like Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and IBM over the years. As a result, ECM became increasingly part of the respective platforms.
BCT strives to develop standard integrations for each platform and to add additional value-adding ECM functionality to these platforms. Within BCT the term Enterprise Integration is used for this. Enterprise Integration is defined here as the development of generic links between applications from different platforms, by using open standards (ESB, Web services, etc.). BCT already has integrations with Microsoft, Oracle and SAP.
