Because of the continuing growth of information flows, many organizations are almost daily confronted with the processing of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of documents. Often the content of these data flows must be entered into a system manually. This is a costly, time consuming and error-prone activity. Moreover, specific knowledge is needed for interpretation and control of the content. A couple of years ago, BCT recognized this problem and the need for a scan- and capture solution. This resulted in te development of IDT Capture.

IDT Capture

IDT Capture is BCT’s product suite with diverse scan- and capture modules for extracting and processing key data from documents. The solution streamlines and accelerates business processes by collecting and structuring documents, such as invoices, incoming mail, forms, sales orders etc., resulting in accurate, traceable information. Then this information can be exported to any independent business application such as an ECM, DMS, ERP, financial or workflow system. IDT supports centralized as well as distributed scanning.

IDT Capture can process fixed hand-printed, handwritten, structured and unstructured documents by using intelligent document recognition (IDR)  technology. Over 150 OCR languages are supported. Next to that, IDT Capture can be pre-trained to provide a high level of performance on day one, and can be trained on-the-fly as documents are processed in production.
