BCT launches IDT-ScanSuite version 2.1 at CeBIT
BCT, a provider of solutions for document management, workflow and enterprise content management, will launch the IDT scan suite version 2.1 at CeBIT. CeBIT takes place in Hannover (Germany) from March 1st until March 5th. The basis for the IDT-ScanSuite is the Kodak ScanStation software IDT-ScanClient, which is certified by Kodak. The IDT-ScanSuite can deliver data to virtually any database platform through the XML-format.
The IDT-ScanSuite 2.1 is a truly distributed capture solution. This means that maintenance of the scanners in an organization can occur from one central location. Central management of distributed scanners can therefore be effectively implemented. The very user-friendly user interface can be completely adjusted to the customers’ wishes and needs via the IDT-ScanSuite. The user interface can not only be accustomed to the corporate identity of an organization, but it can also be freely designed by the organization itself and equipped with different language interfaces. The Kodak scanners have a touch screen that is centrally defined so that all scanners throughout the organization are equal in use, allowing optimized ease of use. The software rollout of scanners is possible through a web-based interface or using a USB stick. Also, remote support is supported via a web based interface.
The IDT-ScanSuite can deliver data to virtually any database platform through the XML-format. Integration with SharePoint 2010 is also realized. The authorization of users can be integrated with Windows Active Directory or Novell NDS by using LDAP. The IDT-ScanSuite can be configured in such a way, that the user can scan documents and send them directly via a secure FTP connection to a defined address with one simple action. Via e-mail notification, the administrator can be notified of errors in the decentralized processing, while the user can receive an e-mail notification of delivery of scanned documents. IDT ScanSuite has a very high degree of flexibility in support, deployment and connectivity.
